From origin to loadport

The origin file is run the same way as the rest of the book. Specification is written at term sheet. Product is graded and packed at origin. Independent inspection is appointed before payment.

Buyers receive a cargo they can document: Certificate of Origin, packing list, commercial invoice, and phytosanitary or health certificates where the destination requires them.

What sits on an origin file

Specification

Grade, packing, and marking are written into the term sheet and checked against the SPA at inspection.

Traceability

The file runs from origin through loadport. Lot identity is held so a buyer can see where the cargo came from.

Inspection

SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek at origin or loadport. Payment is not called before the report.

Documents

Certificate of Origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and phytosanitary or health certificates where the destination requires them.
