Compliance and transaction controls

Risk-based controls for each counterparty and route.

Controls are applied proportionately to the role, commodity, jurisdictions, ownership, payment structure and available information.

Framework

Verification before reliance.

Twenty Arms seeks to understand who is involved, who has authority, what is being traded, why the transaction is commercially coherent and how performance and payment are expected to occur.

  • Corporate existence and good standing
  • Beneficial ownership and control
  • Signing authority and business purpose
  • Sanctions and restricted-party exposure
  • Jurisdiction, commodity, route and supply-chain information
  • Payment structure, adverse information and other transaction red flags

Sanctions and trade restrictions

Transactions may be screened against applicable Canadian and other relevant restrictions.

Screening may cover counterparties, beneficial owners, vessels, banks, jurisdictions, commodities, end use and other participants. Screening is not a guarantee that a person or transaction is free of risk. Information may be refreshed if circumstances change, and a file may be paused or declined at any stage.

Anti-bribery and integrity

No improper payments or concealed benefits.

Twenty Arms does not authorize bribes, kickbacks, facilitation payments, secret commissions or improper advantages. Unusual urgency, opaque ownership, unexplained third parties, off-contract payments or payment to personal accounts may trigger enhanced review or refusal.

Privacy and KYC

Collect only what is reasonably required.

Initial enquiries should contain commercial information only. Do not submit passports, director IDs, bank statements, banking credentials or proof-of-funds documents through the public form or ordinary email. If further identity or corporate verification is required, Twenty Arms will explain the purpose and provide an appropriate secure method.

Personal information is handled in accordance with the applicable privacy notice and retained only as reasonably necessary for legitimate business, legal, security and record-keeping purposes.

Decision rights

We reserve the right to decline.

Unexpected or unrelated payees

Payment instructions involving personal accounts, unexplained third parties or an unexpected change of bank details must be independently verified.

Advance compliance fees

Twenty Arms does not request an advance fee merely to perform preliminary compliance review or to release public company information.

Sensitive documents through public channels

Passports, government identification, bank statements and proof-of-funds documents should not be sent through the public enquiry form or ordinary email.

Undocumented authority

A person claiming to bind Twenty Arms or a counterparty must have appropriate written authority for the specific role.

This page describes general controls, not a certification, legal opinion or guarantee of compliance by any counterparty. Contracting parties remain responsible for their own due diligence and legal obligations.
